Manual Conduit Search removal

Important Note: Conduit Search can be removed manually, however any mistakes can lead your PC to permanent damage of the system. 1. To remove Conduit Search, check your Add/Remove Programs list in Control Panel (Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs). In the list search for apps related to Conduit Search and then choose ‘Uninstall’.

2. Delete any browser plugin related to “Conduit Search”:

Firefox -> Add-ons -> Extensions.
Google Chrome -> Settings -> Extensions.
Internet Explorer -> Manage add-ons ->Toolbars and Extensions.

3. Also remove Conduit Search from your browsers:

Internet Explorer:
Tools -> Internet options -> General tab. Enter your desired website to make it the default homepage.

Google Chrome:
Settings -> Appearance. Enter your desired website to make it the default homepage.

Mozilla Firefox:
Options -> General tab -> Startup. Enter your desired website to make it the default homepage.

4. Delete any folder related to “Conduit Search” from the following folders:

  • %ProgramFiles%
  • %AppData%
  • %ProgramData%
  • %LocalAppData%

    Been fighting and likely other bad actions like Conduit for a while and spent money on products that claim they could but don’t. Now I have tried SpyHunter and it did all that I wanted of it. Conduit is gone and likely some others as well. Thanks to all that helped put this helpful program together.

    Thanks . All good but I hit one problem which I cant seem to get round. When I went to clean up the Search Providers all I could do was to Disable Conduit. The remove option was greyed out. Can you explain why that was and how I can get round it. Thanks

    Well, I got conduit off of my google chrome, but Internet Explorer won’t work. It starts, and after 2 seconds freezes and stops responding. How do I fix this problem, and get IE back?

    Never have touched or opened any spam or attachments nor have I installed any freeware other than the update on Adobe Flash. There must be another way that this gets in.
